Goodguys Rod & Custom Association to come to WestWorld in Scottsdale

More than 3,000 classic, candy-colored and chromed out custom, hot rod, and muscle cars and trucks dating through 1972 will be at Goodguys Rod & Custom Association’s 2016 event. The event will be held at WestWorld of Scottsdale from November 18th to the 20th.

This event is a guaranteed must-see and is part of California-based Goodguys Rod & Custom Association’s 20-stop national tour. The three-day event of automotive fun is bringing car enthusiasts from across the United States and Canada to the Valley of the Sun.

This event will feature a used auto parts swap meet, cars that will be available for purchase, Goodguys AutoCross Duel in the Desert, music, the Top 12 Award Winners and more.

Gary Meadors originally founded Goodguys and started its events in the spring of 1983. The main purpose of founding Goodguys was to create an opportunity for car enthusiasts to gather and show off their vehicles while swapping ideas and having a good time.

At this year’s event, individuals will be able to watch the Top 12 Awards honoring automotive excellence. During the event, winners will be displayed in the Champion’s Arena sponsored by Meguiar’s.

Goodguys’ event is also set to feature a 32 car showdown in the “Duel in the Desert” Autocross Shootout, which is set to take place on Saturday. The winner of the event will be crowned Goodguy/F.A.S.T. 2016 Autocrosser of the Year.

From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Goodguys 19th Southwest Nationals gates will be open. The cost is $20 for general admission tickets and $6 for kids ages 7-12.

WestWorld of Scottsdale will be charging a $5 spectator parking fee. General admission tickets are available for $17 until 11:59 p.m. on 11/17 only. To register a show car or purchase tickets, visit www.good-guys.com.
