GolfTEC Tees Up its Fifth Arizona Training Center in Scottsdale

GolfTEC is opening its golf training and club-fitting facility in Scottsdale this week.

The Centennial, Colo.-based company has 177 golf improvement centers in the United States, including four others in Arizona, and more than 20 in Canada, Korea and Japan.

The Scottsdale GolfTec is at 7342 E. Shea Blvd., Suite 106.

The company, which started in 1993, has experienced strong growth in recent years, including a 73 percent increase in revenue since 2010.

“This growth is a testament to the hundreds of coaches we employ who work tirelessly to help their students improve and enjoy the game as much as possible,” said Joe Assell, GolfTEC co-founder and CEO. “Scottsdale is a tremendous golf market and this new center is unlike anything in the region.”

The Scottsdale location features multiple hitting bays and an array of state-of-the-art equipment.

Jeff Emmerich, a PGA member, is the director of instruction

Each GolfTEC student undergoes a swing evaluation to assess their skill, followed by a certified personal coach recommending a specific game plan, which includes fundamental elements like course strategy and a club-fitting session.

A grand opening is planned from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 21.
