A Buckeye teaching assistant has been arrested and faces multiple charges after she was accused of sexually molesting a 13-year-old student.

On Wednesday, a family member of the victim contacted Buckeye police to report they suspected inappropriate contact between the teen boy and 23-year-old Diana Pirvu.

Pirvu is an instructional assistant at Imagine Schools in Buckeye.

After investigation that involved reviewing communications between the teenage victim and Pirvu, police believe there has been several alleged incidents of abuse that occurred off campus.

Police arrested Pirvu during a traffic stop in Buckeye. She faces child molestation charges.

Buckeye police add that they have not identified any additional victims.

No additional information has been released, the investigation is ongoing.
