Buckeye Police Investigating a Potential Assault and Kidnapping Captured On Surveillance Footage

Authorities in the Western part of Phoenix are currently looking into a potential case of assault and kidnapping that may be linked to an event that was recorded on a surveillance video last week.

The video was captured at approximately 10 p.m. on Friday at the Circle K gas station located on Watson Road, south of Interstate 10 in Buckeye. On Thursday morning, the Buckeye Police Department shared it on social media and requested assistance from the community in identifying those involved.


In the video, a woman can be seen attempting to run from a gray SUV after it pulls to a stop at a fueling station. The woman, who runs from the passenger’s side, begins to sprint towards the store, but the man who was driving the SUV quickly chases the woman, grabbing her and pulles back into the car.

The man immediately returns to the driver’s seat and the SUV leaves the gas station.

According to authorities, the car was traveling north on Watson Road.
