Buc-ee’s Plans Approved By City of Goodyear

Buc-ee the Beaver will soon be making his way to Arizona!

On Monday, in a crucial move for the project, the Goodyear City Council granted approval for the rezoning plans of Buc-ee’s at the intersection of Interstate 10 and Bullard Avenue.

Stan Beard, Buc-ee’s director of Real Estate and Development, announced their delight with the city’s decision and said Buc-ee’s is currently in the process of establishing their first location in Arizona.

According to a statement released by the City of Goodyear, the suggested site will consist of a 74,000-square-foot convenience store and 120 fueling stations exclusively for passenger vehicles. The opening of Buc-ee’s Goodyear will bring more than 200 full-time job opportunities to the Goodyear area.

Goodyear Mayor Joe Pizzillo expressed his excitement at Buc-ee’s addition to the community. Like many, he believes that Buc-ee’s is more than just a typical gas station or convenience store, and could offer the residents of Goodyear the additional options they have been requesting. As the city continues to expand, Buc-ee’s will also be a highly sought-after destination for tourists, including fans attending spring training in the Valley and tourist passing through the state.

As outlined in a proposal submitted to the city, the land will be divided into two sections. One will house a Buc-ee’s Travel Center and gas station, while the other will serve as an industrial area.

The specific timeline for when construction may commence has not been disclosed yet. There is currently no set date for the projected start.
