Mesa Police announce this morning they are investigating a potential crime scene after a body was found floating at a lake early Tuesday morning.

Police reported to an area of Dobson Ranch Lake in Mesa after receiving a call of a possible drowning, near the area of Dobson and Baseline around 5:15 a.m.

Authorities at the scene report that an employee at the golf course saw a body in the water but it was too far away to be certain. Officers confirmed it was a body found floating the water. Efforts are underway to recover the body.
