Arizona Snowbowl Announces Opening of 2022-23 Winter Season

Attention skiers and snowboarders, it is time to return to the slopes!

With the Flagstaff area having received 18 inches of snow, Arizona Snowbowl announced their winter season is open effective today, Thursday, November 16.

Opening day will commence at 9 a.m. with the Arizona Gondola offering access to advanced and intermediate trails only.


The following runs that will be open are: Upper Ridge, Midway Catwalk, Log Jam and Wild Turkey trails. For beginners, officials say runs should be open within the next couple of weeks.

Arizona Snowbowl will celebrate the season’s opening with some fun events.

The first 50 customers in line at the Arizona Gondola will receive a custom Arizona Snowbowl branded face mask. Enjoy free donuts and hot chocolate served at the Agassiz Lodge from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Entertainment by DJ Quick Kay will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Agassiz Lodge deck.

If you plan to head up the mountain, lift tickets can only be purchased online. Pricese start at $29 on opening day.
