Arizona Restaurant Week: May 19 to Sunday May 28

The moment that food enthusiasts across the state of Arizona have been waiting for is finally here. Arizona Restaurant Week began on Friday, May 19, and is scheduled to last until Sunday, May 28. This year marks the biannual celebration’s 10th anniversary that will showcase more than 150 restaurants serving three-course meals for $33 or $44 per person.

Arizona is renowned for being a foodie destination, and also leads the nation in job growth in the food-service sector. Arizona Restaurant Association president Steve Chucri said: “Arizona Restaurant Week has remained a strong culinary driver to many local chefs and restaurant owners, as well as a treasured memory maker for diners.”

The celebration has drawn over 3 million local, regional and national food lovers since it began a decade ago. According to its website, “Arizona Restaurant Week’s goal is to position Arizona as one of the top culinary destinations in the nation by increasing awareness of the many dining opportunities available in the state, as well as stimulating business and revenue for restaurants throughout Arizona” (

Those attending can expect to find everything from Southwestern cuisine to international fare. Here are just a few of the restaurants planning to participating in this year’s celebration:

  • The Stockyards (Steakhouse)
  • Boss Pizza Bar (Pizza)
  • Fat Ox (Contemporary Italian)
  • Different Point of View (American)
  • Char (Mediterranean)
  • Liberty Market (Modern American)
