The annual Arizona Balloon Classic is set to return for its 11th year this month at the Goodyear Ballpark.
The annual event has a lineup of shows and fun activities that will run from Jan. 28-30.
Tickets to attend can be purchased online. One dollar from each ticket sold will be donated to the Valley of the Sun United Way, which is this year’s community partner.
Children who are 12 years old and younger, all active-duty military members, veterans and first responders will have access to the event for free.
According to a press release, the Arizona Balloon Classic hot air balloon shows will take place on Friday evening, Saturday at dawn and at dusk and Sunday morning.
The “Hare and Hound” races are scheduled on Saturday and Sunday morning.
Friday evening’s show is one not to be missed. Named the “Desert Glow,” this spectacular show features an illuminated spectacle set to music.
Saturday evening the Pilots Parade will be held and will be followed by fireworks.
Other activities include live music , the Desert Wind Kite Festival, hot air balloon rides, stunt bike shows, and the Taste of the Classic culinary experience.
