2 People Dead After Early Morning At Apollo High School Crash

Two people were killed Tuesday morning in a crash that landed a car on the property of a West Valley high school.

Glendale Police Department were called to a crash scene near 47th and Northern avenues, just after 4 a.m. When they arrived, they found one of the vehicles was on the property of Apollo High School after crashing through the school’s fence.

Two people who were riding together in a vehicle were rushed to the hospital where they were later pronounced dead. Their identities have not been released, but police report the victims are a man and a woman.


The driver in the other vehicle sustained minor injuries, but was also transported to the hospital.

Northern Avenue is expected to be closed between 43rd and 51st avenues for an extended period of time.

An investigation is underway to learn what led up to the collision.
