Your Phoenix Library Card Is Now a Ticket to Professional Soccer

A growing partnership between Phoenix Public Library and Phoenix Rising FC is giving residents a new reason to dig out their library cards.

Phoenix residents looking for an affordable way to catch live professional soccer this spring have a new option — and it starts with a trip to their local library branch.

Phoenix Public Library has expanded its ongoing partnership with Phoenix Rising FC, offering cardholders access to free and discounted tickets throughout the 2026 home season. The program kicked off March 7th, with two complimentary general admission tickets available for checkout ahead of the team’s March 14th home opener. Additional free ticket releases are scheduled to continue through October, with availability opening one week before each eligible match.

The process is straightforward. Cardholders can stop by the customer service desk at any Phoenix Public Library location and ask about ticket availability. Those who snag a pair will receive a voucher slip and a checkout flyer — both of which must be brought to the stadium box office on game day to claim the seats. Tickets are handed out on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limit of two per family each month, and cannot be placed on hold or renewed.

For residents who miss out on the free tickets, the library card still carries value at the gate. Cardholders can purchase general admission seats for $16 — a discount from standard pricing — simply by showing their card at the box office. Those wanting a better vantage point can upgrade to sideline reserve seats for $22.

The partnership reflects a broader effort by the library system to position its card as more than just a way to borrow books — connecting residents to cultural, recreational and community experiences that extend well beyond the library’s walls.
