Woman Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries in Early-Morning Shooting Near Guadalupe Fire Station

Detectives are investigating after a woman was found with gunshot wounds near a south Tempe-area neighborhood early Sunday.

A woman was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries following a shooting early Sunday morning near Guadalupe, according to authorities.

Deputies with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area near Calle Sonora and Calle San Angelo at approximately 1:33 a.m. after reports of a shooting.

When deputies arrived, they located a woman suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Emergency responders transported her to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Authorities have not released the woman’s identity, and no information regarding a possible suspect has been made public.

Detectives have assumed control of the investigation and are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

The case remains under active investigation.
