Wizards and Witches Beer Festival Coming To Phoenix

Fans of the fantasy novel series Harry Potter should be delighted to hear that a beer festival inspired by the stories will soon be coming to town. The Wizards and Witches Beer Festival is planned for March 9, 2019 from 5:30 PM – 9:00 PM MST at the Monarch Theatre nightclub near Washington and Second streets in downtown Phoenix.

Even though the event is not officially associated with the J. K. Rowling franchise, it will feature a variety of wizard related activities along with magic, debauchery and mischief. Organizers plan to create their own versions of specific settings from the books including Hogwarts Great Hall, Diagon Alley, and the Leaky Cauldron. The event will also showcase beer tasting of over twenty winter, pumpkin, and holiday ales including Snape’s Lair of Secret Cider Potions and Adult Butter Beer. There will be a Hagrid Photo Op, plenty of characters, food from Mac Shackk, and live music from the Slytherin Sisters and DJ Dumbledore.

Rock Star Beer Festivals is the company producing the event. Some of their past events included Newport Beach Beerfest, Summer Beer Festival and  San Diego Oktoberfest. There’s currently a wait list for tickets to the Wizards and Witches Beer Festival. Passes cost $35 plus a $2.98 fee for ages 21+.
