What you Need to Know – President Trump Phoenix Rally

On Tuesday, President Trump plans to visit the Grand Canyon State. Phoenix city officials and DPS are gearing up for tens of thousands of people expected to be in downtown Phoenix for his rally.

Air Force one will make its first stop in Yuma for a planned visit to a Marine Corps base along the U.S.-Mexico border before flying to Phoenix for his scheduled rally at 7:00 p.m. at the Phoenix Convention Center.

If you plan to attend the Phoenix Rally, the doors at the Phoenix Convention Center will open at 4:00 p.m. President Trump is planned to speak at the rally at 7:00 p.m. 


The Phoenix Convention Center has issued a list of items that are prohibited from entering the rally.

According to Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton, no major roads will be shut down for the president’s rally, but some roads will be closed. Downtown travelers should expect heavier delays in the area. The following streets will be closed Tuesday evening:

  • Monroe Street, from 2nd Street to 7th Street
  • 3rd Street, from Washington Street to Van Buren Street
  • 5th Street, from Jefferson Street to Van Buren Street
