Valley Amazon Center Offers Free Tours

Interested in learning how Amazon is able to deliver a number of items directly to your front door in a matter of days, or even hours? You can learn all about it with a free tour inside one of the Valley fulfillment centers.

Nearly two dozen fulfillment centers located throughout the country are now offering public tours, with Amazon having 175 centers worldwide and four in the Valley.

Prior to this year, the Phoenix center offered tours on a “limited basis,” but now offers tours twice a day throughout the work week.

According to spokeswoman Lisa Guinn, the company expanded its tour program this year as a result of customer demand.

“So many people want to see the magic that happens when you click ‘buy’ on Amazon,” she said.

Located near 51st Avenue and Buckeye Road in Phoenix, the warehouse is 1.2 million square feet — equivalent to the size of 27 football fields — and houses enough products to supply every Phoenix resident with ten items. The Phoenix warehouse specializes in storing and sending out small- to medium-sized products.

Tours are available at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. For more information, click here.
