MESA – Two people were hospitalized Saturday after being thrown from their vehicle in a high-speed single-car crash, according to the Mesa Police Department.
The incident happened in the afternoon near US 60 and Power Road. Investigators said the vehicle struck a concrete barrier with significant force, causing both occupants to be ejected. Emergency responders arrived quickly, treating the victims at the scene before taking them to the hospital.
Officials described the injuries as serious but not life-threatening. Detectives plan to interview the occupants once they are well enough to provide statements.
It remains unclear what led to the collision. Authorities have not ruled out speed, driver error, or possible impairment as contributing factors.
