Two Arrested After Paradise Valley Resort Kidnapping, Assault Incident

Quick coordination between PVPD and Phoenix Police leads to safe recovery of victim and suspect arrests.

PARADISE VALLEY — Two suspects were arrested after an early morning kidnapping and assault at a resort in Paradise Valley on Tuesday, according to the Paradise Valley Police Department.

Officers responded to a report around 3:01 a.m. on April 8 after a man said two suspects forced their way into his hotel room, assaulted him, and abducted a female companion. The suspects fled the scene with the woman, prompting a rapid investigation.

The male victim gave officers detailed descriptions of the attackers and their vehicle. Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Unit quickly launched an investigation and tracked the suspect vehicle to a residence in south Phoenix. Working with the Phoenix Police Department, they conducted surveillance.

One suspect, identified as Tradarian Clewis, was seen leaving the residence in the vehicle. Police stopped the car and confirmed his identity. The vehicle was registered to Reginald Kimbrough, who was later identified by the victim as one of the attackers.

Detectives then contacted Kimbrough outside the same residence. Inside, they found the female victim safe in an upstairs bedroom. She confirmed the earlier events and identified Clewis as the second suspect.

Both Clewis and Kimbrough were arrested and booked into the Maricopa County Jail. They face charges of aggravated assault, burglary, and kidnapping.

Paradise Valley Police praised the swift action of their officers and the vital support provided by the Phoenix Police Department, which helped bring the case to a quick and safe resolution.
