Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury confirmed Monday that two of the team’s players tested positive for COVID-19 over the weekend.
Coach Kliff Kingsbury wouldn’t identify the two players who tested positive but said practice would go on as usual on Monday.
“It was a matter of when this would occur,” Kingsbury said. “We continue to talk about it… We can’t let it affect our mentality.”
Kingsbury said contact tracing was showed limited risk and they’re moving forward with proper protocol in mind after Sunday’s round of testing all came back negative.
The Cardinals were on a bye week last week. The Cardinals next game is scheduled for Sunday afternoon against the Miami Dolphins.
Arizona Department of Health Services gave permission last week for additional fans to be in attendance at the next two games at State Farm Stadium.
