Two 18-Year-Olds Arrested in Connection with Phoenix Teen’s Murder

Suspects Charged with Murder and Robbery in Death of 17-Year-Old Anthony Rabadan

PHOENIX — Two 18-year-old men have been arrested in connection with the December killing of a 17-year-old boy in west Phoenix, police said.

The victim, Anthony Rabadan, was found dead near McDowell Road and 51st Avenue on December 23.

On Thursday, detectives with the Phoenix Police Department arrested Salvador Joseph Montenegro and Adrian Aaron Reese Summa as part of the homicide investigation.

Robbery Likely Motive

Detectives determined that robbery was the likely motive behind Rabadan’s murder, authorities said. Both Montenegro and Summa were booked on charges of murder and robbery.

Montenegro also faces an additional charge of possessing a firearm as a prohibited possessor, police said.

Investigation Ongoing

Authorities have not released further details about the case. The arrests mark a key development in the investigation as the community seeks justice for Rabadan’s death.
