Twitter Vending Machine At Chase Field Dispenses Gifts To Diamondback Fans

La Terraza events are right around the corner, and Arizona Diamondbacks have come up with the ultimate way to celebrate. A common idea would be to throw a social media contest or just sign autographs. However, the team thought of another way that could keep their fans engaged and award them with numerous themed prizes at the same time: a Twitter vending machine. This unique concept has already turned many heads.

What Is A Twitter Vending Machine?

This particular vending machine is sponsored by Manzanita Sol and created by Innovative Vending Solutions. It can be spotted at the upper concourse of Chase Field throughout La Terraza events. The particular Twitter vending machine is programmed to hand out custom hashtags/codes that are only available through it. As a result, all generated codes are unique, and each one can only be used by one person once per game.

How Can Fans Use The Diamondback Twitter Vending Machine?

All fans have to do to earn their gifts is pay a visit to this machine, tweet #DbacksManSol and wait for the machine to “cash out” their sui generis code. After that, they can tweet this new code and check out their prizes such as gift cards, koozies, restaurant vouchers, pairs of sunglasses and much more.

However, according to Katie Krause, spokesperson of the Arizona Diamondbacks, the machine can generate just one Twitter code per user per game because they wanted to avoid potential hijackers who would occupy the vending machine to generate as many codes as possible.

What Do Fans Think Of This Endeavor?

Because the Twitter vending machine concept is relatively new, this attempt seemed a bit risky. However, fans have embraced it with a warm heart and open arms. Specifically, the Diamondbacks team counted 300.000 Twitter followers halfway through this season whereas now they have climbed to 325.000. So, it is more than evident that the Twitter vending machine has fascinated thousands of fans who were eager to celebrate the La Terraza events with a gift from the team. No one can deny that this idea was the perfect way of keeping the fans engaged on social media while being awarded for doing so and they were more than welcome to embrace this innovation.

What Does The Future Hold For The Twitter Vending Machine?

This first appearance in La Terraza events was just the beginning for this type of vending machines. Fans will get the chance to re-encounter them at the next game against San Fransisco Giants on September, 9-11.
