Tragic Incident: 4-Year-Old Dies After Being Found in Hot Car in Buckeye

Child Unresponsive After Being Left in Vehicle for Hours; Investigation Underway

BUCKEYE, AZ – A 4-year-old girl has tragically died after being found unresponsive in a hot car in Buckeye this evening. Buckeye police received a call just before 5 p.m. reporting the incident at a home near 212th Lane and Granada. Upon arrival, officers immediately began chest compressions and attempted to use an AED before paramedics arrived to transport the child to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.

According to preliminary information, the family returned home from a trip to the park shortly after 2 p.m. Hours later, family members realized the girl was missing and found her unresponsive inside the vehicle. It is believed the child had been left in the car for approximately two hours.
