Tiger Woods’ Popstroke Golf is coming to Scottsdale in 2021. Popstroke combines a putting course with food and entertainment.

Scottsdale will be Popstroke’s third location in the U.S. and the first outside the state of Florida. The original is in Port St. Lucie, FL and another in Fort Myers, FL is set to open this Saturday, Sept. 12.

“PopStroke, at its core, is about bringing families together in an interactive, dynamic, fun, competitive golf and gaming experience,” Popstroke founder, Greg Bartoli said. “Putting is one of the few things that everyone can do, regardless of age, regardless of background, regardless of skill level.

“For me, it’s fulfilling and rewarding to see families out there of all ages participating together, putting down their cellphones and their iPads for an hour and a half, and re-engaging that family dynamic in a competitive and fun environment.”

That’s what stuck out to Woods and spurred his involvement.

“Tiger Woods has had the most significant impact in growing the game of golf around the world and his investment and partnership in PopStroke will undoubtedly introduce the game to a new and wider audience of participants,” said Bartoli.

“This is a natural extension of my golf course design philosophy and my TGR Design business,” Woods said. “Our goal has always been to design courses that bring people together and are fun for golfers of all abilities and ages.”

PopStroke isn’t just your average golf experience. It also has food and beverage, including a sports bar. Technology is a big part of it as well. A special golf ball, the iPutt, keeps score with a smartphone app, with scores appearing on a Jumbotron leaderboard. Golfers also earn ‘Pop Bucks’ through the PopStroke loyalty rewards app program.
