Three Women Hospitalized After Multivehicle Crash at Seventh Street and McDowell in Central Phoenix

One woman was critically injured and another remains in extremely critical condition after a four-vehicle collision Wednesday night, officials said.

Three women were hospitalized Wednesday night following a multivehicle crash at a busy central Phoenix intersection, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.

Fire crews responded to reports of a collision involving multiple vehicles near Seventh Street and McDowell Roadaround 8:30 p.m. Authorities said four people were injured, and firefighters had to extricate two of them from the wreckage.

One woman was transported to a hospital in extremely critical condition, while another was listed as critical and a third in stable condition, officials said. A fourth woman at the scene refused medical transport.

The Phoenix Police Department closed the intersection for several hours to investigate the cause of the crash. No additional information about the victims or what led to the collision has been released.
