After months of investigation, Phoenix police have arrested three teenagers in connection with the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Marki Terril Anthony, which occurred in October 2025 in north Phoenix.
Authorities announced Friday that Demarius Shaw, 18, Raul Clavel, 19, and David Brunt, 18, were taken into custody and booked into the Maricopa County Jail on first-degree murder charges.
The case dates back to the night of October 14, 2025, when officers responded to reports of gunfire near 12th Street and Bell Road around 9:20 p.m. When police arrived, they found Anthony with at least one gunshot wound. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but did not survive.
Detectives later determined that the shooting occurred during an attempted robbery that escalated into an exchange of gunfire. The three suspects were identified following an extensive investigation that involved interviews, forensic analysis, and witness statements, according to police.
Although arrests have been made, investigators continue to seek information about the events leading up to the deadly confrontation. Anyone with additional details is urged to contact the Phoenix Police Department or reach out anonymously through Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO for Spanish speakers.
