Three Construction Workers Injured in Roof Collapse at Peoria Job Site

One worker suffers head injury after structure gives way on newly built home

PHOENIX — Three construction workers were injured Friday when a roof collapsed at a job site in Peoria, authorities said.

The incident happened near 9300 W. Yearling Road at a home under construction, according to the Peoria Police Department.

Investigators learned that one of the workers was inside the home at the time of the collapse, while two others were working on the roof.

All three workers sustained injuries, including one person who suffered a head injury. They were expected to be transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

No further details were released. Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing.
