Ball Corp., UPS Inc., and Chewy Inc.—three companies part in Goodyear—will be collectively bringing 1,200 full-time jobs to the West Valley between now and the end of the following year.
UPS plans to up their hiring by the end July for part-time package operations supervisors, company spokeswoman Kim Krebs said. Those looking to apply for part-time package handing positions will be able to do so by the end of August. In total, they’re expected to bring 500 full-time and 1,000 part-time jobs by the end of 2019.
In order to be prepared for the start of peak holiday shopping season in November, the company is hiring employees now.
The company plans to hire an additional 600 workers in October in preparation for the hub opening, which will come later this year.

Hiring full-time positions in management, administration, transportation, processing, packaging and shipping, Chewy plans to have 750 employees by June 2019.
Chewie Inc. is an online retailer of pet products. The company opened their regional internet fulfillment facility, an 800,000-square-foot facility, near Bullard Avenue and Van Buren Street in June.
More than 200 people already work for the company, which is planning to recruit another 550 employees throughout this year and next.
Ball Corp., in conjunction with Dick’s Sporting Goods and Subzero, opened an aluminum can manufacturing plant within the corridor located along Loop 303. The 500,000-square-foot building is expected to be fully operational by the end of the year. Hiring is already underway and will continue throughout 2019.
