The Legend of Tarzan Does Not Disappoint

The Legend of Tarzan was recently released and boy what a magnificent piece of work it was. Everyone knows the story about the baby who gets left behind in the jungle and is raised by gorillas until he becomes an adult. He learns their ways and learns how to communicate with all the animals.

Well, this story was retold in a different view from the story that we all know. This film opens up with John “Tarzan” sitting at the table in London talking with head officials about plans to use his name ‘Tarzan’ to bring much-needed fame and from that fame, money into the country. He does not agree with it. He is then offered a proposition by one of the American Council representatives and here’s where our story begins.

What I love about this movie is that all throughout his journey back to the African jungle, they weave in flashbacks from his childhood bringing you into an understanding of his life growing up in the jungle. I love the way they told this story from that perspective.

The other thing is that the story kept going. Some movies have a scene or two that seems to drag on and on, but this film is non-stop action. This is one of those movies where it is best to sit back and watch it without drinking a lot. You do not want to have to get up and go to the restroom because you do not want to miss anything.

The Legend of Tarzan, in my opinion, was magnificent. The actors were great. The depiction of the story was excellent. The way the scenes played out was fantastic. I would recommend to others and have recommended to others that they see this film. I do not want to say too much about it because I feel it is a must see. You cannot think of this story as being told in the old way from storybooks and cartoons. This movie along with the actors and directors did an excellent job bringing the story to life and retelling it from a different point of view.
