The Duce Named Coolest Bar in Phoenix

The Duce, a jazz-themed bar in downtown Phoenix, was recently named the coolest bar in Arizona by msn.com. Known as the place “where pretty meets gritty and produce meets prohibition,” The Duce features a variety of retro elements including a 1915 Chicago drug store soda fountain along with bleachers from the local St. Mary’s High School where patrons can watch ping pong, corn-hole, shuffleboard or foosball.

“What the duce?…it is what it was … a 1928 warehouse that once anchored a bustling produce district by day… the notorious deuce by night… dice, vice, jazz and other not so good clean fun,” is how The Duce’s website describes the itself. The bar is also a popular venue for parties and events ranging from birthday parties and charity events to wedding and bar mitzvahs.

The Duce Kitchen & Lounge is depicted as “TRAILER MADE….FORGOTTEN….BUT UNFORGETTABLE TIMELESS RECIPES INSPIRED BY MOM’S 1960’S KITCHEN… ALL MADE FROM SCRATCH IN “DUCHESS” our 1968 STREAMLINE TRAILER.”

If you want to visit The Duce then it’s open on the following days/hours:
