This week, Arizona State University’s Gammage Theater will host the musical “The Color Purple.”
The musical will be on campus from Tuesday, April 17th through Sunday, April 22nd. Tickets are still available and can be purchase online by visiting the Gammage Box Office site. Ticket prices range from $39 to more than $150.
“The Color Purple” is based on the novel by Alice Walker and was a Pulitzer Prize-winning musical. The story is about Celie, a young African-American woman who lived in the South in the early 1900s.
“The Color Purple” won the 2016 Tony Award for the Best Musical Revival.
