The Chicken Scoop Opens in Scottsdale

If you’re looking for the perfect chicken salad, look no further. Casual-dining spot, The Chicken Scoop recently opened in Scottsdale with more than 14 different chicken salad options to choose from.

Menu

As you might suspect, chicken is infused into almost every dish. The word “scoop” makes sense because meals are served in scoops of chicken salad, and the chicken is available in dozens of flavors. You can also order chicken salad sandwiches or “toasties,” which are more traditional sandwiches that can include ham, turkey, and beef. The restaurant also has an impressive list of side dishes including potato salad, kettle-cooked chips, and broccoli slaw. By the way, if you order an extra side dish with your meal it’s only $2.49.

Prices

Prices are quite reasonable, and most rating sites report fair prices. Looking at the menu, I see that most of the entrées are less than $10. The sandwiches are all either $7.89 or $8.89, and you can get a chicken salad scoop for as low as $7.69. Additionally, the addition of soups, sandwiches and salads seems to be working quite well.

Trained Staff

Staff members go through an extensive training program that involves everything from sweeping the parking lot to attempting to clean a restaurant’s bathroom. When employees understand the all of the basics basics they will hold cooking classes, teach food preparation techniques and plate presentation, and you’ll also see these busy buzzing around during restaurant hours.

When to Go

The Chicken Scoop is open from Monday through Saturday, and the facility is closed on Sundays. Its hours are from 11am-7pm. The facility does not serve alcohol, and it’s viewed as a spot where you can either dine in and feel comfortable, or take your food to go. The ambience is nice, and the food comes quickly.
