The Arizona State Fair is just around the corner, and we all know what that means. Fun rides, great entertainment, and, most importantly, TASTY FOOD!

That said, we’re all familiar with the quintessential fair food found here at home, and around the country.

But, have you ever found yourself wanting more from the fair than just the fan favorites?

Well, today, we’re not going to talk about corndogs, funnel cakes, or candy apples. Here, you’re going to get a sneak preview of the newest foods hitting the stands this year in Phoenix.

Spicy Turkey Legs

Gigantic turkey legs have long since had a home at fair across the nation, as well as right here in the Silicon Desert. However, the Arizona State Fair chose to spice it up this year. Our inside sources tell us that this new take on the traditional turkey leg is only possible with Cholula hot sauce. Not only are the tangy turkey legs prepared with a Cholula hot sauce base, but they’re also cooked to perfection with just the right amount of spice.

Caramel Crack Fries

One exciting dish to make its debut this year is the Caramel Crack fries. This dish is sure to get your attention. For starters, they toss the French fries in a mixture of sugar, cinnamon, and butter. Then, the fried spuds get topped with caramel sauce infused with sea salt.

But that’s not all!

Finally, the mound of fries enjoys a healthy serving of whipped cream and comes garnished with a light sprinkle of Fruity Pebbles cereal. You can find this unique concoction at Biggy’s stand.

Bucket of Cookies

Sesame Street’s Cookie Monster would be simply smitten if he attended this year’s fair. That’s because one of the new items launching at this year’s festivities is a bucket of cookies. Yes, it’s true! The Totally Baked Cookie Joint stand will give you the food necessary to cruise the fair in style. In addition to this perfect pail, the Totally Baked Cookie Joint will sell ice-cream cookie sandwiches, and a sweetly adorned chocolate chip cookie called the “Big Skillet.”

Floats of Mythic Proportions

From what we gather, the Candy Factory will be responsible for three of this year’s newest culinary concoctions. That’s right. Not only will the booth be putting out Unicorn and Mermaid Floats, but they’re introducing an Orange Dream float as well.

Made with blue-raspberry soda, topped with whipped cream and sprinkles, the Unicorn Float then also receives a dollop of cotton-candy for good measure.

The Mermaid Float contains a blue coconut and lime soda mixture, topped with sour candy, Life Savers Gummies, green sour-apple cotton candy, and whipped cream.

Finally, the Orange Dream Float comes topped with sprinkles, whipped cream, orange cotton candy, and sour orange candies.
