Arizonans turned out in large numbers Saturday for the latest wave of “No Kings” protests, with demonstrations reported at more than 80 locations across the state and at least 20 sites throughout the Phoenix metro alone.
Organizers with Indivisible Arizona said more than 20,000 people were expected to participate in the downtown Phoenix demonstration, with a final count not available until Sunday. The protests, organized in opposition to the direction of the Trump administration, drew participants from across the Valley to gather publicly and visibly in a show of collective resistance.
The “No Kings” movement framed Saturday’s actions as a direct response to what organizers describe as economic pressure on working families and what they characterize as unjust acts by the current administration. Event listings called on participants to rise up and make their opposition heard, emphasizing that those who showed up were not passive observers but active participants in a historical moment.
The movement has been building momentum for months. In October 2025, more than 7 million Americans participated in roughly 2,700 “No Kings” demonstrations spanning all 50 states — one of the largest single-day protest mobilizations in recent American history. Saturday’s actions represent the latest chapter in that ongoing effort.
