Tempe police are searching for a suspect after a late-morning shooting at Tempe Marketplace left one person in critical condition on Monday. The incident happened around 11 a.m. in the parking lot outside Road Runner Sports, near McClintock Drive and Rio Salado Parkway.
Officers said the victim was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. No arrests have been made, and investigators have not released additional details as the search continues.
The shooting occurred just hours after a separate incident earlier Monday at a Little Caesars near Rural and Guadalupe roads, where two people were critically injured and a suspect was detained.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact Tempe authorities as both investigations remain active.
