PHOENIX — Two teenage brothers have been indicted for their alleged roles in a string of drive-by shootings across the Valley, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office announced Wednesday.
John Paul Camacho Barron, 16, and Andrew Soto Barron, 14, were formally indicted on July 9 and are both being charged as adults. The charges stem from several incidents that occurred during the early morning hours of June 12 and 13, officials said.
The shootings targeted multiple homes in what prosecutors described as a coordinated series of drive-by attacks.
The older brother, John Paul, faces a total of 10 charges, including:
Three counts of discharge of a firearm at a structure (Class 2 felony)
One count of discharge of a firearm at a structure (Class 3 felony)
Four counts of unlawful discharge of a firearm
One count of drive-by shooting
One count of unlawful use of means of transportation
His younger brother, Andrew, faces an identical set of charges, though one charge differs:
Three counts of discharge of a firearm at a structure (Class 2 felony)
One count of discharge of a firearm at a structure (Class 3 felony)
Four counts of unlawful discharge of a firearm
One count of drive-by shooting
One count of theft of means of transportation
A trial for the two is currently scheduled for November, though that date is subject to change.
