PHOENIX — A teenage boy has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a man at a west Phoenix apartment complex Monday evening, according to authorities.
Phoenix Police responded to reports of a shooting in the parking lot of an apartment complex near Camelback Road and 39th Avenue at approximately 5:45 p.m. Officers discovered 32-year-old Marquise Maston suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Maston was transported to the hospital in critical condition but later succumbed to his injuries.
Detectives tracked the teenage suspect, who has not been identified, to another unit within the same apartment complex. He was arrested and booked into the Juvenile Corrections Center on charges of second-degree murder.
The investigation is ongoing, and no further details were immediately available.
