Swimply, the Pool Renting Company Is Making Waves in Arizona

The monsoons look to be taking a bit of a break this week and forecasters are calling for temperatures to climb back up to triple digit heat in the valley.

Sometimes a good soak in the pool is all you need to cool off from the desert heat in the middle of summer. However, it is estimated that 96% of Americans do not have access to a swimming pool during the hottest times of the year.

Swimply has come up with a solution. As previously reported by All About Arizona News in 2019, Swimply, a company similar to Airbnb, where you can rent someone’s home for either a day, a weekend, or an extended amount of time, Swimply is still going strong.

Swimply provides access to renting someone’s pool for a pool party, a family BBQ, or just simply an afternoon outside. On average, it costs about $45 an hour to rent a pool through Swimply, but that cost depends on size, amenities, and timing. Some of the amenities come with an hourly cost, while others cost additional such as towels or grill access.

Last year, Swimply had access to 87 pools, and this year, there are over 450 pools! Pools are available in Phoenix, Gilbert, Scottsdale, Surprise, Tempe, Mesa, Glendale, Chandler, Goodyear, Queen Creek, Peoria, Paradise Valley, Litchfield Park, Cave Creek, Sun City, New River, Avondale, El Mirage, Fountain Hills, Apache Junction, Casa Grande, Buckeye, Maricopa, and more.

If you are interested in making some extra cash, residents can rent out their backyard pool. All you got to do is create a listing, provide a list of amenities, cost, photos, and of course, and most importantly, be comfortable with strangers in your backyard.
