Scottsdale just got a whole lot sweeter. With the introduction of Sweet Provisions, residents of Scottsdale can indulge in a variety of freshly-churned ice creams, creamy milkshakes, frothy floats, and chewy cookies straight from the oven.
This new bakery is the brainchild of the Common Ground Culinary, which is a group headed by Christopher Collins. Collins is also the owner of other Scottsdale culinary staples Grassroots and Twisted Grove. Located at 1820 N. Hayden Rd., Sweet Provisions saw its grand opening on the first of March.
Since the doors have opened, the ice cream flavors have flown out of the freezers. Guests are welcomed to choose from gourmet flavors such as Triple Shot Coffee, Toasted Walnuts and Maple Syrup, Georgia Peach Pie, or Pistachio and Candied Bacon. If your mouth isn’t watering enough, these unique flavors can be served on your choice of either a waffle cone, sugar cone, or a cake cone. Remember how we said there were freshly baked cookies as well? They make a great sandwich with any of these flavors!
Looking for a cool beverage as the temperatures begin to rise? Shake away the heat with thick milkshakes such as a Frosty Float (Root Beer, Vanilla Cream, Dr. Pepper, Cherry Cola, and Orange Crush) or the Campfire S’more (Double chocolate ice cream, graham crackers, fudge, and burnt marshmallow).
There’s much more to Sweet Provisions than just ice cream. The bakery specializes in house-baked treats as well such as brownie bars. Popular flavors of these bars include Scottsdale Blonde, Lemon Tart, and Ghirardelli Toffee.
Also, be sure to leave room for a slice of pie. Their Strawberry Rhubarb and Banana Cream both need to be tried to be believed. You can do that by coming down to Sweet Provisions. They are open daily from 11am to 10pm Sunday through Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays, bakery hours are 11 am to 11 pm.
