Goodyear Police have announced an arrest has been made in the tragic hit-and-run death of a 13-year-old boy earlier this week.

Police have identified the driver of the white Ford truck that struck the boy riding his bicycle near 182nd and San Gabriel drives Tuesday afternoon as Richard Romo, 44. He was taken into custody on Thursday night.

In press release issued by the Goodyear Police Department, they said the suspect was taken into custody in the same neighborhood where Dylan Buensuceso was hit. Dylan was an eighth-grader at Estrella Mountain Elementary School. At the time of the incident he was taken to a hospital, where he died.

No additional information has been released on the suspect.
