Suspect Detained in Central Phoenix Stabbing Near I-17

Victim hospitalized with life-threatening injuries; investigation remains active

PHOENIX — A suspect has been detained following a stabbing incident that occurred early Monday morning near Interstate 17 in central Phoenix, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

The victim, who walked into a Phoenix Fire Station near 5019 N. 23rd Ave., was found with visible stab woundsaround 7 a.m. and was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A witness provided video footage, helping police identify a potential suspect. Officers searched the area, located and detained the individual, and secured a possible crime scene.

The case is still under active investigation, and police have not released additional information at this
