A shooting inside a Target store in Mesa left one person hospitalized and resulted in the arrest of a 21-year-old suspect Sunday night, according to authorities.
Officers with the Mesa Police Department responded to reports of gunfire just before 8 p.m. at the Target near Power Road and Hampton Avenue, north of U.S. 60.
Police said the victim suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to a hospital. As of Monday morning, the victim remained in critical but stable condition.
Investigators said the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived. Two people were initially taken into custody during the investigation, though one person was later released.
Authorities identified the suspect facing charges as 21-year-old Dylan Stinson.
The Target store remained closed Sunday night as detectives processed the scene and continued their investigation.
