Arizona is expecting snow and that means it is time for Arizonans to hit the slopes!  Sunrise Park Resort in Greer has announced the opening to their season and here is what skiers need to know.

Greer, Arizona is located approximately four hours northeast of Phoenix. Slopes will open to skiers and snowboarders for the season on Friday, Dec. 10th.

Sunrise’s initial opening will have its Midway trail and Bunny Hill open on Friday from noon to 4 p.m. Due to the limited runs and open times, lift passes will be discounted to $18-$29, plus a one-time $5 card fee.

Longer run times will be available Saturday, Dec. 11, through Thursday, Dec. 16. Plans call for the same trails to be open from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Lift tickets will be discounted to $18-$39, plus a $5 one-time card fee.

The Sunrise Day Lodge Cafeteria and Day Lodge Pub will also be open to patrons on opening day and throughout the entire weekend.

On Friday, Dec. 17, the ski resort will resume their normal rates starting at $45 for a full day pass. Half-day passes will be available.

Weather predictions are calling for Arizona Snowbowl in Flagstaff to receive as many as five to nine inches of fresh snow. Sunrise Park Resort could receive up to a foot of snow.
