St. Mary’s Food Bank Needs Thousands of Turkeys To Help Families Enjoy The Holiday

St. Mary’s Food Bank is asking for help so that all Arizona families can have a nice Thanksgiving meal this holiday.

St. Mary’s Food Bank is still in need of thousands of turkeys to help over18,000 Arizona families next week. The food bank is short of their goal by approximately 8,000. Super Saturday Turkey Drive is the last hope to help the non-profit reach their goal.

The food banks’ 17th annual event will run on Saturday, November 19th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the food bank sites in Phoenix (31st Avenue and Thomas Road) and Surprise (Dysart and Bell roads).

Those looking for a more convenient location to drop off a turkey can stop by one of the select Albertson’s and Safeway grocery stores to make their donation. In addition, the Phoenix Police Department’s Desert Horizon Precinct at 56th Street and Greenway Road will also be accepting donations on behalf of St. Mary’s Food Bank.

Right now, the non-profits big push is collecting turkeys, however people looking to help in other ways can also donate online to St. Mary’s Food Bank or volunteer at their locations.
