Snowbowl Remains Open Through May

Temperatures in the Phoenix area may be increasing, but you can still enjoy some winter weather.

The Arizona Snowbowl has announced that the resort will stay open into May. This makes the 2018-2019 season one of the longest seasons in history.

The resort will be open in April from April 26-28 and in May from May 3-5. The hours will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The decision to extend the resort’s season came from a record-breaking number of guests in March. There was a 30% increase compared to last season.

Snowbowl received 332 inches of snowfall in the 2018-2019 season, which makes it the second largest amount of snowfall in 21 years.

“As always, skiing is our number one priority and we’ll keep skiing as long as we can and as conditions permit,” said J.R. Murray, the Snowbowl’s general manager. “We are passionate about getting as many days on the mountain as possible and love seeing both our guests and employees taking the opportunity to enjoy the outstanding spring conditions.”

The resort hasn’t released a closing date. Lift tickets are currently discounted. They are $69 for adults, $59 for children, and $49 for seniors. Guests under age 10 and over 70 receive free admission.
