Snowbowl Is Open With 13 New Summer Activities

Even though Arizona Snowbowl is typically known for being the best destination in the state in the winter for skiing and snowboarding complete with fresh powder, blue skies and breathtaking views; it’s also quickly becoming a popular destination in the summer.

“We’re thrilled to offer additional summer activities this season at Snowbowl,” resort General Manager J.R. Murray said.  “There are now more ways families can enjoy the mountain with the new base area attractions.”

The resort will start featuring the following new summer activities on July 13:

  • Scenic Chairlift-
  • Summer Tubing
  • Bungee Trampoline
  • Mini Ropes Course
  • Treasure Panning
  • Barrel Rolling

Prices start at $15 for one activity. In addition to the new summer offerings, Snowbowl still provides visitors with some of the best hiking trails throughout Arizona. The resort is also working on adding mountain biking trails to its guests in the future. But, there are some trails in the area that they recommend including Arizona Trail, Hart Prairie Loop and Two Lost Souls.

The resort’s summer season has been hindered by dry conditions. It was originally slated to start on May 26, but the U.S. Forest Service closed the Coconino National Forest lands on May 23 due to increased wildfire risks.

Arizona Snowbowl is located at 9300 North Snowbowl Road, Flagstaff, Az. Summer activities are available 10 a.m.-4 p.m. daily through Sept. 3.
