Snoh Ice Shavery to Open Second Location in Downtown Phoenix

After three years of unbridled success at the original Snoh, just East of Seventh Street and Camelback Road, owner Tony Chanthavong will be expanding his ice shavery to downtown Phoenix.

The new location will be significantly larger than the original 1,300 square feet and will continue to serve their creamy, Southern Chinese-style shaved ice and boba drinks.

The new location, expected to open this fall, will be on the northeast corner of Second and McKinley Streets, neighboring the newly opened Cobra Arcade Bar. The atmosphere will cater more towards the downtown crowds of adults and ASU students, differing from the family-friendly vibe filled with vibrant anime and pop culture art illuminating the walls at the original spot.

What separates Snoh from the average American ice cream is the process of infusing flavors into ice and letting it rest overnight using only in-house recipes. Once the flavor has been properly infused, the ice is then shaved into thin ribbons to serve. The ultra light, creamy composition that melts in your mouth and bursts with flavor contrasts with the heavier Western style ice creams providing a refreshingly light treat to help cool down the Valley heat.
