Big Chicken, the star-powered, fast casual chicken restaurant franchise founded by basketball Hall of Famer and entrepreneur Shaquille O’Neal, is set to open their first location this week.

Big Chicken will open their Gilbert location on Wednesday, March 15. The fast-casual restaurant menu items are expected to be big.

The menu will feature Big Chicken’s exclusive NAKED TRUTH® Premium Chicken, which is preservative free and humanely raised (cage free) with no hormones or antibiotics. Crispy and grilled options feature Shaq-sized flavor in signature sandwiches and salads. In addition, the restaurant reportedly also has a cookie with a circumference of a NBA basketball.

366 N Gilbert RD, #106, in Gilbert
Wednesday, March 15, at 11 a.m.
Regular hours of operation: Sunday-Thursday 11 a.m.-10 p.m. and Friday/Saturday 11 a.m.-11 p.m.

Arizona franchisee owners have agreed to open at least 12 Big Chicken locations in Arizona over the next couple of years.
