Phoenix, AZ – Seven hotels in Arizona have been awarded the coveted Michelin Key distinction, recognizing them as some of the best places to stay in the United States. Among the honored hotels, Canyon Ranch Tucson stood out, earning the highest accolade of Three Michelin Keys.
The announcement, made on Sept. 12, marked the second-ever release of Michelin Keys in the U.S., expanding the list of recommended hotels across the country. Similar to the Michelin star system for restaurants, the Michelin Key program evaluates hotels, awarding between one and three keys for outstanding stays.
Canyon Ranch Tucson was awarded Three Keys, signifying an “extraordinary stay.” Ambiente, A Landscape Hotel in Sedona, received Two Keys, indicating an “exceptional stay.” The following five hotels were awarded One Key, denoting a “very special stay”:
- Mountain Shadows Resort Scottsdale (Paradise Valley)
- Royal Palms Resort and Spa (Phoenix)
- The Global Ambassador (Phoenix)
- Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North
- El Portal (Sedona)
The Michelin Key distinction is designed to celebrate hotels that offer truly remarkable experiences for their guests.
