Setting World Records With Goat Yoga

Looking to help set a Guinness World Record? One Phoenix-area organization has a unique opportunity to do so lined up.

On Feb. 23 at 9:00 a.m., participants will gather to attempt to set the record for largest goat yoga class. Goat Yoga Arizona is hosting the event at the Mesa Amphitheater.

This class will contain 350 students, who must all be over the age of 18. Guinness will inspect all participants’ IDs to make sure that they are over the age of 18. People are encouraged to purchase their $15 tickets quickly before the spots in the class are filled.

During this yoga session, students will do thirty minutes of yoga. 70 goats will also be in attendance. These friendly goats wander around and climb on people who are doing yoga. But goats aren’t the only animals that will be present. Maisy the cow, Napoleon the Alpaca and Kip the Alpaca will also be in attendance for the Feb. 23 event.

Goat Yoga Arizona started in 2015, but it has grown in the time since then. Now, they routinely sell out classes every week. This event is a part of the organization’s National Goat Yoga Month celebration.
