Phoenix has secured a long-term commitment from one of the semiconductor industry’s largest conferences, strengthening the city’s position as a growing hub for advanced manufacturing and technology.
SEMI announced that SEMICON West will make Phoenix its permanent spring home beginning in 2027, with dates already confirmed through 2029. The conference, which brings together chip manufacturers, suppliers, researchers and technology leaders from around the world, will be held at the Phoenix Convention Center after the organization’s successful events in the city.
The move reflects Arizona’s expanding semiconductor industry, fueled by major investments from companies including TSMC and a growing network of suppliers and research institutions. Organizers said relocating the event aligns it more closely with one of the nation’s fastest-growing semiconductor ecosystems while maintaining its role as a global industry gathering.
For Phoenix, landing SEMICON West on a recurring basis represents more than another convention booking. The event is expected to attract roughly 35,000 attendees annually, generating tourism spending while reinforcing the region’s reputation as a center for semiconductor innovation. As Arizona continues to attract billions of dollars in chip manufacturing investments, hosting one of the industry’s premier conferences further connects the state’s economic development efforts with global business and technology leaders.
