Sedona, AZ, also known as Red Rock Country, was recently named the 13th best destination in the United States by Trip Advisor. Located in the middle of the Arizona desert, Sedona is renowned for being a vacationer’s paradise with everything from resorts and spas to canyons and red rock formations.
The resort city is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts because of a plethora of hiking, biking and off-road trails. Rounding out the top five on the list were New York City, Maui, Island of Hawaii, Oahu and Las Vegas.
Sedona also claimed the top spot on USA Weekend’s Most Beautiful Places in America. The city is surrounded by 1.8 million acres of national forest land and considered to be sacred by Native Americans as a place of healing and spiritual renewal.
